TRAVERSE PLACE is a large, spacious and comfortable facility, offering 24-hour supervision by trained staff. The facility is licensed as a child-placing agency by the State of Michigan and meets all fire, health and safety code requirements. The building has divided living quarters for males and females and can accommodate up to eight (8) residents, each having their own bedroom. Household chores are shared among the residents along with daily cooking duties.  Traverse Place houses youth 17 - 20 years of age, and the length of stay is up to 21 months. 

TRAVERSE PLACE is financially supported by U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Michigan State Housing and Development Authority (MSHDA), City of Flint, Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), United Way of Genesee County and Private Donations.
